My Thoughts on Education

According to this article and the research behind it, children who spend more time online or watching TV have poorer math and reading skills. The clear objective here is to get kids to spend more time reading good old fashioned books and to put down all their gadgets.

I think this is very easy for academics to say but much harder for a parent, fighting with their kids, trying to get them to put their gadgets down. Is it possible to move back in time to when children were spending more time reading and less time online and on their computers? Putting this wishful thinking aside, I believe we need to find interesting ways for children to read and learn while on their various gadgets. Technology is not the enemy here; it is finding the balance that is important.
