Vice President Joe Biden will deliver the keynote remarks at a Washington D.C. memorial service for former Israeli president and prime minister Shimon Peres.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington are hosting the service October 6, according to a release.
In addition to Biden, former secretary of state Madeleine Albright will be attending the hour-long prayer service.
Peres, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, died last week. He was 93.
