My Thoughts on Education

Donald Trump’s baseless accusation that Hillary Clinton is unfaithful to her husband and his impersonation of the Democratic presidential nominee’s near-swoon are evidence of how low the real estate mogul is willing to sink, Clinton’s campaign said Monday.

At a rally this past weekend in Manheim, Pennsylvania, Trump asserted that “Clinton’s only loyalty is to her financial contributors and herself,” musing that the former secretary of state probably isn’t even loyal to her husband, former President Bill Clinton, “if you want to know the truth.” He also mocked Clinton, who nearly collapsed after attending a 9/11 memorial service. Her campaign later said she had overheated and was dehydrated, in addition to disclosing that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days earlier.

“You know, I think Donald Trump shows Americans every day how low a campaign he is running,” Clinton campaign senior adviser Joel Benenson said on MSNBC in the campaign’s first response to Trump’s charges of infidelity. “The American people know that for 30 years, and we’re seeing that throughout this campaign, that what they know and trust about Hillary Clinton is that she has put children and families at the center of her career, whether she was at the Children’s Defense Fund fighting to help disabled kids get the education they deserve or desegregating schools in Alabama, helping children get health care, helping and fighting for women’s rights around the world.”

“I think there’s — there seems to be no limit to the shameless lows Donald Trump can go to in this campaign,” Benenson continued, “and we’re not gonna address any of those things he does. He mocked a disabled reporter. He mocked her the other night for being ill when she had pneumonia.”
