With this study conducted by the American Academy of Pediatrics and examined in this article, fathers are clearly a vital toward their children’s development, and not only as a backup for a mother. The article lists a few things dads can do to be better fathers, such as playing with the children, talking to them and being positive role models.
This article is self explanatory and almost needs to comments. It is painfully obvious that fathers are necessary in every child’s life, as they give to their children what their mothers cannot, along with complimenting the mother’s care for the children. With the increasing numbers of dads staying home while more moms working full time, this article, while seemingly straightforward, is an important update to the traditional father/mother roles.
A famous quote comes to mind that sums up this article perfectly- “Anyone can be father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.”
