Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has dined with actors, musicians, foreign politicians and even a sitting president. But there’s one person he refuses to eat with: Donald Trump.
“Absolutely f—ing not,” Bourdain said in an interview with the entertainment site TheWrap.
Bourdain said that as a longtime New Yorker, he’s watched how the GOP nominee and real estate billionaire conducts business and treats people he works with.
“I would give the same answer that I would have given 10 years ago, when he was just as loathsome,” he said.
But Bourdain also told TheWrap that he’s not jumping at the chance to dine with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for his show “Parts Unknown,” saying “that’s not the business I’m in.”
Earlier this year, Bourdain dined with President Obama in Hanoi. The chef has also dined with the governor of Sicily for his preview show “No Reservations” as well as German politician Gregor Gysi.
