Hillary Clinton and her allies extended their financial lead over Donald Trump in August.
The Trump campaign raised $41.8 million and spent $29.9 million, ending the month with $50.2 million on hand, according to its report to the Federal Election Commission. Together with supporting super PACs and the Republican National Committee, he had almost $96 million in the bank.
The Clinton campaign, the Priorities USA super PAC and the Democratic National Committee raised a combined $112.3 million and started September with $121.4 million stockpiled.
Great America PAC and Make America Number 1, two super PACs supporting Trump, raised $3.6 million and $1.1 million, respectively.
